"Shou Sugi Ban" is a traditional Japanese wood charring technique in which the surface of wood is burnt - typically sidings used in architecture. This technique adds a natural protectant to the surface. Each bowl is finished with a food safe polyurethane, bringing the burnt texture. Handmade on the lathe, each piece is unique and may vary in size, shape, and colour.
